In that situation, I'd more likely try to use follow on the CB, rather than low right. Care is needed to avoid the double hit, but from the way the diagram is drawn there seems to be ample space between CB/OB.

Ideally, I would hope to get to 1 diamond past the side. That way, a slow roll shot on the three cheating the pocket will come off the bottom rail with good position to go from 5 to 7 or from 5 to 7-9 combo.
